Green Etiquette
Normally in a match there are four players on each team.
PLAYER 1 (LEAD) The Lead is responsible to place the mat and roll the Jack when they play first. When scoops are used player 1 from the team that lost the end is responsible for using the scoop. When scoops are not used players all help to return the bowls to the back of the green.
PLAYER 2 Writes score on scorecard and Home matches also does the scoreboard. (Away matches the player playing 2 on the Home team does the scoreboard.)
PLAYER 3.Player 3 is responsible for deciding with the opposing 3 player how many shots have been scored and measuring when necessary (other players should always stand behind the No. 3 players, well back from the head.) Give information to Skip when needed.
PLAYER 4 (SKIP) Skips are experienced players and will give advice to the other players to help them.
Players should stand behind the mat when other bowlers are on the mat (keeping out of the line of vision). The mat should be placed flat on top of the wall when not in use. Always place bowls together at the start of each end.
