Canford Bowling Club is one of the oldest bowling clubs in Bristol. Canford, like many other clubs, is now a mixed club, but we do compete in league and competition matches separately.
Every Monday evening during the bowls season (from April through to the beginning of October), you’re welcome to come along from 5.45pm to try your hand at the game made world famous by Sir Francis Drake.
We have experienced and qualified players to guide you through the elements of the game and help you get started. We have all the equipment you need; just bring along a pair of flat-soled shoes. Coaching sessions by arrangement are held on Monday afternoons. There are many outlets in Bristol where you can buy your own equipment once you are ready..
